The Flatvad salmon trap lies about 11 km from Sunndalsøra centre. Follow road 70 towards Oppdal. You can see the trap from your car window.
From Sunndalsøra: Drive past Grøa, and through two tunnels. About 200 meters from the last tunnel you pass the salmon trap, which stands in the river. If you want to take a closer look at it, drive to the next exit road, turn the car and drive back to park between the two tunnels.
From Oppdal towards Sunndalsøra: About 20 km from Gjøra. After driving in a straight line in the 70km/h zone throught the Flatvad farmlands, you can see the river close to the road. 200 m before the tunnels you can see the salmon trap in the river. Please, do not stop the car until between the tunnels, where it is possible to park.
